What the clients say...
I have worked with Martyn Love from Lovesonic on two productions "Worst Best Friends" (13 x 30 min kids series) and "Solo" (feature film) and he delivered great scores on both.  These two productions couldn't be more different and each accompanying score needed extremes in approach.  What I love about working with Marty is his ability to interpret what is required whether working with or against the drama and visuals on screen.  He is tonally astute and coupled with his diverse knowledge and musical talent he can traverse the music medium from jingo to jazz.

Needless to say he delivered despite ridiculously short turn around times.

Sue Seeary

Sue Seeary has 20 years of experience working in the Australian film and television industry. Sue produced her first feature The Crossing in 1988, and has since produced an array of theatrical films, television dramas and documentaries including The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (associate producer), Heaven's Breath, Worst Best Friends and The Bertram Wainer Story. Somewhere in the middle she spent seven years with Australia's Film Finance Corporation as an Investment Manager.
I had the pleasure of working with Martyn Love from Lovesonic on the CoxKnight children’s TV series ‘Worst Best Friends’.

It was a very complex and sophisticated show and tonally quite difficult to get right. Marty’s music captured that tone perfectly. It was clever, funny, and sophisticated, and had a wonderful sense of fun. It was pitched at just the right level.  It knitted the show together beautifully, always supporting the comedy never overtaking it.

And it was always a joy to listen to. The music was full of great melodies and had a lovely rhythm. You came away from the show with the tunes in your head.

All this achieved with the minimum of fuss. Marty is great to work with  - he delivers.

I look forward to working with him again.

Kate Woods

Kate Woods is much sought after worldwide for her experience and directing skills in film and TV. Among her  credits are film and television productions such as Without A Trace (US) and Farscape, the Australian hit feature Looking For Alibrandi, and the acclaimed mini series Changi.
Martyn's work on the score for Solo was extraordinary. His ability to interpret the emotional through-line of a scene was such invaluable, as was his grasp of so many musical forms, both traditional and avant garde. There's a nuance in the way he composes for the screen that I've rarely seen.

Morgan O'Neill

Morgan O'Neill is a writer, director, musician and a National Institute of Dramatic Art (Australia) trained actor. His film Solo, winner of the inaugural Greenlight competition, is the first feature he's directed and written. His short film credits are numerous, including producer, composer, actor and/or director in Tropfest finalists Playin' Hard To Get, South of the Border, Late Night Shopper and Bio Pic. Morgan's many acting credits include Water Rats, All Saints, Home and Away, Back Berner, Crocodile Dundee III, Postcard Bandits, Subterrano and Little Oberon. Morgan also has a B.A. (Hons) Literature from the University of Sydney.
Marty Love is a gifted and erudite composer/pianist , who draws upon his great knowledge , open-mind, passion, and experience in a number of genres whether composing for film, television or jazz orchestra. His work on 'SOLO' is not only masterful, witty and perfectly composed for the film, but also cleverly instinctively crafted to bring out the very best in the musicians chosen for the soundtrack.

Working with Marty (as always) was an absolute delight and a thoroughly rewarding artistic experience for everyone lucky enough to have been involved.
